What novoxx is:
novoxx is an amorphous calcium sodium phosphosilicate product of highest available purity. It is grounded down to a smooth white powder with an average grain size of 2,5 µm. A human hair in comparisson is about 100 times thicker.
All elements used to manufacture novoxx can be found in the human body as well. The human body appears to recognizes this material as its own and bind to hard and soft tissues.
novoxx is based on a special mixture of the four basic elements, which must be combined without any impurities. Silicon, calcium, sodium and phosphorus can be blended in infenitely different ratios to produce various types, but only a few variations possess the required positive properties. The great secret lies in getting the proportions of the primary materials right.

novoxx has demonstrated a broad spectrum biocidal acttivity against a variety of bacteria, as well as against some fungus and yeast species. This activity is strongly pH dependant, decreasing significantly when novoxx containing solutions are buffered towards neutral pH.
Besides the pH-effect it is well known that the surface charge of inorganic particles have an impact on the viability of microorganisms. The novoxx particles normaly show a very high positive surface charge in an aqueous solution. The isoelectrical point of the novoxx powder is between a pH of 4 and 5. Further antimicrobial mechanisms can be related to the very high ion release and concentrations especially near the particle surface.
